IMPORTANT NOTICE

The New Zealand government has announced further border restrictions in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.  These new measures are expected to help the health system to be more prepared in the coming months, by having fewer people infected and slow the spread of disease out over a longer period of time.  They are working at keeping the virus out through restrictions on people.

By enforcing certain restrictions, New Zealand supermarket shelves will remain well stocked and medicines and other essential supplies will still be available.

FROM SUNDAY 15th MARCH 2020 AT 23:59 ALL TRAVELLERS COMING FROM ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD, EXCEPT PARTS OF THE PACIFIC, INCLUDING CHINA, IRAN AND SOUTH AFRICA, WILL BE EXPECTED TO SELF-ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS ON ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND

Immigration confirms that these announcements will likely have a big impact on our sector, but they will continue to work with us and provide us with regular updated immigration information.

Severe disruptions are being experienced, but everyone is working as best they can under the circumstances.  The government has been planning for such disruption and will revert once they have a better idea of just what the impact might be for our sector, from an immigration perspective.

Things are moving very rapidly at the moment, but we will be kept as informed as possible.

I will update this notice as soon as more information becomes available, including any changes.
